Fashion Police: Special 2014 VMAs and Emmys Episode

In case you missed it, we had a special 90-minute episode of Fashion Police last night dedicated to the fashion turnout at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday and the Emmy Awards on Monday. Our guest was the fabulous British music sensation Jessie J, who – just moments before performing the opening number with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj – arrived on the VMAs red carpet in a stunning vintage Halston that I actually used to have in black. This was such a fun and fabulous special episode. Continue reading Fashion Police: Special 2014 VMAs and Emmys Episode

Fashion Police and Ice Bucket Chic

In case you missed last night’s episode of Fashion Police on E!, it was fabulous. Not only were we joined by the gorgeous Orly Shani and the one and only George Takei, but I accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, issued to me by none other than Sarah Jessica Parker, Anne Hathaway and Tara Reid. Tara confronted me on my way into E! to make sure I honored the challenges, which I did and then promptly summoned security. Watch the video at E! Online.

A Wonderful Weekend Wedding…

Some of you might remember the impromptu wedding I performed for Joe Aiello and Jed Ryan at my book signing at Barnes & Noble in July. Since it was totally unplanned, Joe and Jed didn’t have a marriage license on them. They’ve since gotten one, and asked me to marry them again, this time “for real.” So we did it! On Friday, August 15th, 2014 at the Plaza Athenee hotel in New York City, Joseph Aiello officially married William (Jed) Ryan. The ceremony was attended by family and friends, with a wonderful reception following. I’m so thrilled and honored to have been a part of it! Congratulations, Joe and Jed!

Watch the video! (I get so emotional.)

A Further Clarification…

Hello Everybody,

I’d like to make something clear. The other day I was stopped at the airport by a reporter from Splash Video who caught me off guard. I said “Palestinian” when I meant to say “Hamas”. This started a controversy which has turned into a tempest in a teapot, which the media is happily exploiting.

I regret that I did use the word “Palestinian” when I meant to say “Hamas” and obviously, there are many good Palestinians like Israelis who want peace and Israel’s right to exist. Unfortunately, this is not so with Hamas (which has been recognized as a terrorist entity by The United States, Israel and many other Western democratic nations).

So let’s all take our energies and concentrate on fixing the mess that’s going on in Ferguson, Missouri.

I’m Both Saddened and Disappointed…

An accurate clarification of my earlier comments:

“I am both saddened and disappointed that my statement about the tragedy of civilian casualties was totally taken out of context. What I said and stand behind is, war is hell and unfortunately civilians are victims of political conflicts. We, The United States, certainly know this as 69 years later we still feel the guilt of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The media, as usual, has decided to only quote the most out of context and inflammatory non sequitur rather than giving an accurate account of what my intentions were behind the statement. Along with every other sane person in this world, I am praying for peace. It is stupid and wrong and I am tired of bearing the brunt of attacks by people who want to sell newspapers or gain ratings by creating a scandal about me that is non-existent.”
